Year in Review

More like 2 years in review, but who’s counting?!

We bought a new home

We went to New Orleans

We got braces, I discovered snapchat filters and we got our braces off.

Samantha went to Prom

My baby graduated!

My husband built a pool and we had a great summer!

The Halloween/Christmas lights got a facelift.  The entire show had to be rebuilt to fit the new house.

Surprise!

We prepared for Harvey, nervously laughed through it and watched our neighborhood grow a little closer.  Aside from a flooded property and 1 downed tree, we fared well.  One of our neighbors was driving through the subdivision very early one morning during Harvey and saw our tree…he was kind enough to take a chainsaw to it to get it out of the road and out of the drainage ditch.  Those are the kinds of neighbors we have and we’re very thankful for him.

On the crafting side…

Paper is still a part of my life and I doubt that will ever change.  Handmade cards and gifts are making a come back and it’s my plan in 2018, to keep increasing handmade and decreasing gift cards.

Vinyl took up A LOT of my time this year…  From signs to koozies to personalized items, I learned a lot about vinyl and all the different ways I can use it.

A new puppy came into our lives…’Willow’, but her snobby name is Liberty’s Patriotic Princess Willow.  Her show prance and antics make us laugh, Kona has a new best friend and the pain of losing Chloe was eased a little.

I was part of an amazing event… The Texans Pink Ribbon night.

I’m on the one of the left of the 2 ladies coming down the ‘Soul Train’ line.  And yes LOL that’s what the manager of the Texans Cheerleaders called it.  It was insanely fun and one of the few really bright moments since my cancer diagnosis.

It snowed!  In EAST TEXAS!!  That is something VERY new for this California girl and I was absolutely mesmerized by it.

It’s been a fantastic year(ish), we’ve made a lot of wonderful memories and I’m optimistic about the coming year.  I have a new trick up my sleeve…but that post is for tomorrow.

Happy New Year everyone!
